monitoring override.
- Seven-item pre-PICC insertion safety checklist.

How to use it
This is a local decision tool developed for a single UK district general hospital
haematology service alongside a 2025 service evaluation. It has not been externally validated and
is not a substitute for local policy, trust-approved guidance or individual clinical judgement.
Verify drug vesicancy, thresholds and escalation routes against your own organisation's documents
before use.
